A + 8 Hood[1] has the same DEF as a +7 Muffler[1] or?  ???

Yea it does.Only difference is cosmetic from a deffence point of view. Also ithink a +7muffler is easier to make as theres lesser risk(than when one tries to make a +8hood)

Wrong.

+1= 2/3 defense.

So a +7 Muffler is slightly better.

The chance of you getting a hood to +8 is nowhere near the chance of getting a muffler to +7.  RODatazone says at the NPC, getting an armor to +8 has 1/5 the chance of getting something to +7.  It might actually be a bit cheaper to go for a +8 hood, but the main problem of it is how much raw elunium you'll burn through before you actually get it.

Hoods are worthless to over-up, since you'll never NOT find mufflers on the market.

yeah, they're harder to come by, but sell those hoods, and rag mants you farmed at skellington and you've got the money right there.

Hood has only 1 DEF less to muffler.....

Exactly.and barring decimal values the def is the same

RO does not do that.  barring some number is the same that is sort of ... wierd to validate your early claim.  At high tier gears, every .1 def counts in order to make bk and lod worth of using.

Hood Weight > Muffler's Weight(if the case is between the +8 hood and +7 muffler)


But if you want more defense, A Higher upgrade of Muffler or other Garments is better.

there is no difference in those to items in their defense both are pretty much the same.

but in weighted ans cost they differ

hood weigh 20 while muffler 40  and like the others had posted

its more cheaper to have +7 muf than + 8 hood.
