In 90% of the cases, the server is not the reason for the lag.

Check...
... your internet connection
... firewall settings
... downloads & uploads (f.ex. brothers & sisters downloading and uploading things)
... your location
... your internet provider
... other internet connections (Is only aRO laggy?)

By the way, it doesn't really help to post lag problems here on the forums, because ... uh, most of the time, you can't be helped if you just type: "The server is lagging like hell?! Why?"
Specify your problem, tell us more information about your PC/location/internet provider, then perhaps. ::)
If you're a bit more experienced, you can differentiate between client and server lag.

And the server is located in Canada.

Someone from Japan recently told me that they had lag due to the Language settings and Keyboard region issues, but I don't think that's even possible.

Anthem is naturally a bit laggy, unfortunately.

I'm sorry, I don't live next door to the server either (I'm from Germany). But I never lagged, only when someone using the same network was down- or uploading something. My connection is a simple 1000kbit/s line, and I can play fairly well, even on my older computer.

There are different kinds of lag, so you might want to describe it to us, like, is your character frozen, and suddenly everything around you happens extremely fast, and you "flew" to the tile you clicked on (-> client lag), or is everyone frozen, then moving? (-> most likely server lag, but usually people yell a "OMG LAG" after this, lol)

Just saying "all the players are lagging, my friends are lagging like hell, and so on" doesn't really help if you want help. <.<

Indeed, it is, compared to some other servers. But you usually get used to it, and kinda ignore it after some time. But I don't think this is the lag the OP is talking about.

Well i am playing normal without any lags so it's not the server lagging it must be your connection /ok

You need to check on your connection /no1

server did seem to like spike for a second last night.
Might be because of WoE...

and ya for me it was partially client side, but like 500 people had logged out for like 5minutes, because they got d/c.

BTW: alch MIR ai adds a hint of lag too. =3
