Best Card(s) for Sýr's Cloak of Feathers? (Non-PvP)

its not even for uber players.

like for example, off the top of my head, anolians or merman. they don't really hit very hard at all, but they'll own you with waterball if they get the chance. so..water armor, or status armor. whichever, no matter which your garment is.

noxious is physical range damage.

Yeah, I get it. So maybe instead of uber players, having elemental armor is for those who care and aren't stubborn like me. lol (Again, for the basic stuff that I do, I've never felt the need for elemental armor. I don't go anywhere I can't handle.)

Physical range damage, huh...? Then in that case--just between these two--wouldn't a Raydric be better than a Noxious? I'm assuming that long range physical attacks are neutral, plus Raydric also resists close range neutral attacks.

Oh. Well, that's good to know. Ha ha. (Not that I PvP, but still.) Thanks. =) And as for monsters... this is what I found on iRO Wiki:

A monster's attack is considered a melee attack if the attacker is < 4 cells away from the target when attacking. A monster's attack is considered a ranged attack if the attacker is => 4 cells away from the target. While, a player's attack depends on the weapon or the skill used.

Not sure if that's related or if it answers anything (I don't think it does), but I thought I'd put it out there.

But clearly you are too focused on raydric to think of using devi, so yeah go ahead and use devi and then repent and get the 9 ads to unslot it.

Its a hard decision because its a soulbound item and well, its really annoying to make lol.

I went to some high rate server for a bit today just to see the difference between no card, Raydric, and Deviling.

The difference between a Raydric and a Deviling is noticeable, of course. (I needed to see for myself how this works, you know, since I've never had either of these cards.) But one thing I noticed was that I didn't really see an increase in damage from the 50%-other-property effect, which is what I've been worried about with the Deviling this whole time. I mean, I'm guessing I'm either oblivious or there weren't any other property attacks being thrown at me.

So do other property attacks happen often in PvM? I mean, I guess that was answered already...

most times, when monsters hit you, it will be neutral. not to mention you have linker buffs.

...So does this mean that I wouldn't HAVE to worry about the other property attacks all that often? If so--it took forever to get to this point, but--I'd go for a Deviling in that case!

Some monsters will use elemental attacks once you hit them.

If you use esma they probably won't have the chance to strike you with it because they'll probably be dead by then. Unless it's a MvP

Alright. Between what I saw today when using a Deviling and both you and Val (...and everyone else constantly insisting on Deviling lol), I've decided to go with a Deviling Card. It'll certainly take me longer to get than a Raydric Card, but I'm now (finally) confident that it's the best choice between the two. (MVPing would be nice, but I'm not going to worry about it. )
