Uh, just a question Zidane - you guys (gms really) are talking about it like it's already decided that all SQIs will become soulbound/accountbound. Is this true or is it still in consideration, or is it something you're merely discussing as players and not so much as gms?

And sort of to discourage it as well, so if you want a SN and Slinger to have the SQI, you'd have to make it twice, thus boom! Zeny sink. And lol, I think Zidane is done with this thread, atleast I can understand how it's still a sink, regardless of it removing Ads or Zeny. All that does is increase the number of the SQIs that the economy needs in it before there are not really many new ones any more. They will just be swapped around. From several GMs responses and lack of answer I get the feeling it was made soul bound not to make a zeny sink or for anything to do with the game at all. It was simply made that way so they could put an ad cost on something that was normally free (a.k.a selling a SQI). Having to pay ads to sell an item to other players in game is not a path we should be going down on this server. And there is your Zenny Sink. If on your account you have a Gunslinger and a Super Novice, you'll actually want for it to be account bound. The sink comes in where you're then forced to make one on a gunslinger, roll it back and make a SN. And if you want to have the SQI on your gunner again, then you'd have to make another.Doesn't seem that complicated, quite frankly. In the scenario I just created, two SQIs would've been made, thus removing 160million from the economy, as well as helping to allow zenny to exchange hands as players get lazy and do not farm ingredients.Sure, logically, over time, there will be so many SQIs that their creation will decrease. We can all agree on that, it is therefore why new players will eventually become Vets and will afford to make more SQIs and the cycle continues.So.....? That only effects people that play Super Novices and Gunslingers at the same time. Do you really consider it fair for them to have to buy the same SQI with the same cardings twice? Super Novice is already a very expensive class to gear out. That is the same thing as taking any other classes freely trade able SQI and doubling its cost just because you want it to be more of a zeny sink. I know your looking for ways to make zeny sinks but you have to make sure they are fair zeny sinks.Do you fully comprehend the power of a fully "geared" novice? Yeah, it's definately worth punishing, in my opinion. And no, it's not the same. We aren't going to take a SQI that is intended for a Trans Class and double it just because its tradeable. It's more like, punishing a Class that wants to use a item which was not intended for it to use.
