Lag generally comes around the same time every day, sometimes it's a few minutes later. It's nothing that we can control as we don't know what causes it, so I suspect it's something to do with our host. Talis has been talking about a new infrastructure change, so once that occurs and takes place, everything should be gone and dandy.
I've personally felt no lag myself, except for, of course, those times in specific when the lag spikes occur.
