GJ Vending

Probably a dumb question, but meh:

Say I have 30m. Would it be a dumb idea to turn it completely into GJ, vend it, and earn it back with interest, not even having to work for it? By vending at 180z, I believe the profit % is 13%.

What if this was done with even larger sums of money? 100m==> 113m without doing any work? I can't help but think I'm missing something here. :<
 


Also: Selling meats at 45 is an 18% profit. However, you can't stock nearly as many. Is there an ideal GJ:meat ratio to vend at? :x Or just stick to selling GJ?

Last thing: I usually sell my meats at 45. What's the correspondingly fair price for GJ? I've seen it go anywhere between 165 to 190z.

I used to sell mine for 175z a long time ago.. It's a good profit if you have no problem with waiting to get the money.

2.5m worth of GJ usually sells out in 2-3 days. :x

Please believe me when I say that GJ vending is one of the slowest and ill-concieved ways to earn money. Usually there are 5~10 GJ vendors in Archer. Right now there are a couple @ 168z, one at 180z, one at 196z. You can buy GJ straight from an NPC for 190z, so anything over that is absolute crap. The profit margin is very slim, and you have to vend for a very long time to see the smallest payout. You're better off running a tool mart in alberta or prison. They have better payoff than GJ or meat and sell faster with less competition, but it's still not much. I often go to Archer to get supplies from Sam's This-n-That, but he's not on as much anymore. It's ridiculous trying to buy supplies when almost every single vendor is just overpriced GJ.

Yeah, it's pretty slow compared to active moneymaking, but it really doesn't take any effort to set up a vend and check on it twice a day. :<

And yeah, that's me vending at 180. X3

I'll try a tool shop kinda thing next and see how that goes, though. There really are too many GJ vendors. @_@ Thank  you!

The time it takes to make GJ is hardly worth the money you make... Unless you make really crappy money otherwise.

it's probably because now every user has their own merchant or something...
so it's pretty dumb cause we're vending at each other for the % of players that don't have their own merchants...

Sell Gjs in places where people often feel the need like Prison or DG (maybe?) Thing with autotrade is - you can lie dead and vend and still sell stuff and earn money. But you lose exp if you keep dying after being ressed :p

As for passive money making - I am sure this is pointless now- When OCAs were like 90-120k each Id buy them in huge lots - open em - toss useless ones out and sell the rest and end up with heavy profits. So basically 1 Hr of OCA opening and I have a Pro Vend for a week. Each day Id make 5-10M profit out of selling cards.

If you want to do passive vending dont waste time with GJ. OVer refines and "buy cheap and sell high"are your best ways.

agree not to mention the competition between other players selling GJ's at normal price of say 180z then you'll see another bunch selling even cheaper ones ;<

I see... Still, since it takes very little effort, I do wish to keep autotrading in some form, to supplement my earnings. :<

Does the OCA thing still work, Razer? And how many would I need to buy for this to be effective?

Not many people are selling OCAs very cheap anymore, but it can still work if you get lucky.
