no they dont.
quad mettaling= 4 separate 5% chances to lvl 1 strip

Oh wow how lame i wanted to stack 4 metalings  :'(

guess i'll just buy 1 metalling and just card other things with it  ???

i remember testing a few status daggers (i borrowed a quad metalling MG and had a double metalling MG of my own)
the quad outperformed the double but maybe that was just luck  ???
