Ads are basically real money but in a form players can use them to donate and buy stuff from the item shop, Anthem coins are the in-game version of ads.

EDIT: Besides donating real money you can also vote for the server, complete offers from sponsors (not available right now). You're not limited to ways anthem provides though.

You don't need to pay for anything on this server. We do have the options for players to donate money to gain rewards in-game (aka ad credit).

As shane3x mentioned, begging other players for zeny, items, gear, etc. is not by any means illegal, but you probably will not receive a favourable response. You're better off asking players for ideas on how to farm zeny and items on your own rather than asking them to "donate" to you. This way you learn the ins and outs of the game, and won't irritate other players who typically don't respond well to people begging for free things.

Keep in mind, everyone was a newbie at some point! You just have to work your way up there...

A small notice: If you ask questions, what to do now, which armour would be good, weapon, etc. you'll usually receive much better feedback from the people. And from time to time someone'll probably give you something for free. Just be nice, not too persistent, and do not ask for something.

I'm assuming you meant snaim mail instead of email, since that's not possible.

Paypal is quite easy if you have an account. Link it to your bank account, then donate, it's that easy.

You can't donate by Email. The only way as of now is Paypal. Do you live in the US?
