Because I'm in need of those 2 things.
I can't reformat the computer to fix the memory leak as all the original bits and CDs that came with it got ruined in a flood.

So yeah.

If your just going to make idle commentary that isn't blatantly useful to the topic at had don't post.
Keep on topic please and thanks... /ok

The default windows one I have is buggy it turns it's self off at startup and take 3 min to turn back on.
So unless someone knows where a reinstall for that thing is I kinda need another firewall.

Get a router.

Aside from enabling you to do lots of neat things, a hardware firewall is always superior to a software one.

Don't suppose that can scan for a root virus?  I was told that's probably what is making my memory leek resulting in my ram usage constantly going up the longer the computer is left on.

Isn't that called a power worm? I had one of those, before I got kaspersky. Ended up having to reformat.

As far as the memory leak goes you may have to reformat anyway...the OS stays and IMO I'd rather have an empty working computer then a full broken one.

Bah will the windows at least stay if I reformat it?

Making two topics about the same thing is excessive.
There are not 2 topics on the same thing one is closed because it ws getting spammed up and I didn't feel like dealing with it.
Also...
If your just going to make idle commentary that isn't blatantly useful to the topic at had don't post.
Though I suppose it is semi-on topic... maybe...
