Is it allowed to have a link from a site, maybe even in a siggie, on these forums? Or cant one do that?

Depends on the site. If it's nothing that violates the forum rules (i.e. other server, NSFW stuff, etc.), I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to put it in your signature. If you're unsure, simply PM the link to a forum moderator.
