Lag is a little bad at the moment because of the logs.  Just bear with it for a little more =X

Actually, heres the thing: The itemlogs get more slow and cumbersome the larger they get, as it has to plow through more and more data to find the right stuff. Databases, yes, are optimized for seeking data, but when you have literally billions of entries, it is going to impact performance significantly.

We had previously moved the itemlogs over to other servers periodically, so only new cases would use up any performance at all; however the server we moved the logs to .. disappeared. The ISP the server was on cut its website and its phone line. Naturally, we have backups of these logs, but it took a while to get a new server set up. ( Usually takes up to a week after you order a server for it to become available. )

This means that we could not do a itemlog move in quite a while, resulting in a big and cumbersome file.

Right now, we are working on first bringing the older itemlogs back up, and then we will move the current itemlogs over. So please be aware, we are working on the issue and there is a logical and reasonable explanation /ok.

This might also mean some lag after the next big maintenance, since part of the servers bandwidth will be used to move over the itemlog; But after that it should be largely lag less once again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

( PS: Don't go with cheap ISPs! We had all our main server with one big well known ISP ( iWeb8 ) , but had decided to try out a cheap ISP for menial tasks like itemlog searching that cost maybe 25% of the ones iWeb8 offers... and you see what happened, servers offline, website offline, phone offline.. yeah, lesson learned, don't go cheap. :< )
Talis is still actually working on coding things for DA, so it's not like he's abandoned the project. I don't really understand the logic of, "Talis has yet to release DA, thus, the rest of the staff is inactive".

A rollback wouldn't really help in this case, as it doesn't really have to do with RO updates. :( We have a few ideas, but they just take time to do and fix.
Spoiler for stuff:

Talis said it was going to be about a few more days of this before the logs would be moved, or something along those lines >_>

Anyways, Niff isn't the only place you can go >__>; find someplace less busy and you'll be fine.

We strictly don't do any sort of item log related tickets during WoE. So if you lag during WoE, it shouldn't be related to us.
