It would be legal, and actually beneficial to you, as it increases your exp.

If they're using the skill Steal on a monster, it's like an attack.  The more people attacking a monster, the more exp that monster gives.
But since Steal is taking none of your exp, you get the full boost.  And unless you're a Assassin or Rogue yourself, it doesn't matter.

what GoddessDigi say is absolutely true!!

If you are not an asassin, rogue of thief, steal skill doesn't affect you in any way except maybe, for the extra exp you get, but nothing more. The drop rates from the monster stays the same, besides, that skill doesn't get any exp for the user.

Yeah, maybe is a little rude but nothing out of rules or actually bad.
