Hotkeys on other keys besides the F1-9 keys?
« on: June 19, 2009, 10:11:16 am »
Alright so I finally was able to run RO on my mac using crossover :D Everything works great.  Unfortunately I lost my ability to use my normal hotkeys since I cant assign them to the F1-9 keys.  Does anyone have any experience on doing this? Or uses a mac themselves? I'm not sure how to even open the hotkeys window with my mac...

Oh yes, and Im not able to right click either, is there a workaround for that?

any help would be appreciated, thanks a bunch.

Well, there is the alternative battlemode which uses the QWERTY keyboard as the shortcuts. But you still need to the F12 to bring up the in the first place to drag the skills into boxes. Is there like a virtual keyboard of sorts?

Since you can have an emulator on a mac to use the Windows platform I am sure you can look around for a "virtual keyboard" so you can assign keys on the mac to do windows function. Mac is versatile like a kleins.

@ DJ Soul
Hold atl then press M so you can have hotkeyed messages you can use assigned to the alt then number keys. I have /bm on one of mine for easy access, so that should help out

That isn't what i'm asking for. I know how to do that. What i wanna know is if there is a way to make /bm stay on even when u press enter.

well I use a Mac Mini with Windows XP on parallel

and the first thing I would Suggest is to spend some money on getting a Standard PC keyboard and Scroll Mouse
this really helps when using the PC side (gives you the Insert key and the print screen key that's not in the Mac keyboards)

with the  PC keyboard you should be able to run aRO like you would on a normal PC

Note* in laptops where the F1 to F12 keys are also used for other functions
you can set it in control panel to run the function keys as F1 to F12 w/o having to press another button

It stays off when you press enter so you can type without a whole bunch of skills going off.

Yep. All you have to do is hit enter once again to get BM to re-activate.
