aRO Task Manager Priority: Always Low?
« on: May 27, 2009, 03:21:53 pm »
So I reinstalled XP on my windows partition for my macbook after trying out windows 7 (very nice, by the by). I can play the game well, sound, connection, graphics are all good, but I noticed some minor lag that I never got in places that arent heavily populated anymore. So I checked the Task Manager to see the priority of Anthem, and saw it was Low. No big deal, but it is always set to low when I start it up, regardless of whether or not things in the background are running. Its not a gamebreaker or anything, just inconvenient...

Anybody have suggestions for a fix?

EDIT: I did do that registry mod that I found here to fix lag, if thats anything

That's the way the RO client was designed, sadly. It basically uses up any available CPU power. Maybe when zap finishes his Jaroc client this can finally be done more efficiently.

aRO is always so high on my task manager. =x I can't really do much of anything else when I'm playing it. /sob

Call me Danii or Kit. I respond to both.
