As you can see by the subject, im new to AnthemRO. I saw this was a pretty good/ accurate to real RO and wanted to give it a try. I havent really read through the forum much yet, however i did have a few questions.
How many people are on at any given time?
Do the donations make the game a little unbalanced? I came here from Shards of Dalaya, which is a private EQ server. We have donations, but not for in game items that could affect playability. Meaning, for donations you wont recieve a weapon that puts you above others, or armor, etc.. etc.. just wondering about that here.
Is this game more or less set up the same way as original was set up? map connections, classes, zones, etc..?

To further answer your questions, I'll start.
We have about 500-600 on at a given time - it all depends on the times you're playing on. For example, during hours of War of Emperium, our numbers rise, and during the slow times; well you get the idea.
The donations do not make the game unbalanced to the point where you are like
. They do affect gameplay though. For example, a Doppelganger card, which is worth 27 ads (now 24.30 with the discount), will give you an approximate +30% ASPD (Attack speed). With about two of these cards, generally any player can achieve 190 (maximum) ASPD. This will give you a decent advantage over someone that hasen't donated/played long enough/doesn't have a Doppel card.
Basically, the Donation system will just boost your game play so that you can enjoy luxury items faster than someone who doesn't donate. Bear in mind though, there are still ways for you to make money so that you can eventually get a Doppelganger card, and there are hundreds of people that have gotten rich, and now have megamillions of zenny without ever donating 1cent.
Despite the fact, yes, technically speaking, donating will help put you "on top of others" when it comes to Cards which can make a weapon godly, but then again, theres weapons that can't be donated for, called SQIs (Super Quest Item) which will put you above everyone else (unless everyone else has one lol) and those are worth +200million zenny.
