So I got the laptop and I tried to download RO fresh on my laptop. When ever it is done downloading though a window comes up and says "this file contains data". On the download page it doesn't say Vista. Now is it a problem that only I'm having or is this normal? Do I have to do something extra? I remember AceJay and Denia said that RO worked with Vista but I don't think we take the same steps.
This file contains invalid data*Righ click Ragnarok,sakray and AnthemROs executable and set their properties to work under XP mode. If not look up Google for an XP emulator. Apparently Vista has caused problems with a tonne of applications hence there are bound to be XP emulators out there.
I don't havce the executable yet. The farthest I get is the first intall file the one that takes around 6 hours to download.
I run RO off of Vista. The only thing I change is I make the patcher run under administrator mode, I don't even have to run compatibility to Windows XP, though some have reported that they have to do so. As for the install file, I just double click it and it runs normally 
....
What do you mean by off vista? Like run it on a XP OS? I already have RO on my PC,=P. Im trying to get it on my laptop.
Or you could just save time and download my method =/
Ace your method seems like it's for people who already have the game and are getting errors. My Problem is I can't even get the game to intall because it considers the install to have invalid data. I wish I could just have to patch something but there is nothing to patch. T_T
