It means you can't take the items out of inventory on that one character.  (As in, once it's on there, it's stuck.  Equip it, or hold it, nothing else, not even dropping or Kafra.)

I don't think the items we got on the test server are accountbound either.

o____o It's just stuck to one character? That sucks imo.... I thought you can use it with any character as long as it's in the same account; I guess that would be account-bound.
