MirAI is probably.....not ever going to work the way it used to again, I'm afraid to say. What with the implementation of the Mercenary system the Auto options were disable for a reason.

I doubt the abilities will come back. Sorry.

Yeah, but at least they actually attack when you use it. Potion pitch doesn't work though.
MirAI was used alot.
Mercenaries are rarely used.

Honestly though, while being able to AFK level was nice having the Auto-Attack and Auto-Potion pit doing all the work for you is rather....pointless. We're not supposed to have a class that is completely hands off (besides leeching).

There's a formula floating around the forum that proves you actually gain MORE exp when you fight alongside your Homunculus.

Potion pitching was nice because its extremely hard to target your homunculus in a mob. I'm not even thinking of the AFK aspect.
It was always considered legal because you still have to feed it.

And of course you can get more exp fighting with your homunculus, especially if you use it to mob better, but what if you're more interested in just leveling your homunculus?

I have to completely agree with you about being able to pitch to your Homunculus in the middle of a mob. /sigh
