Making money... T_T

I know there are lots of money making guides and what not, but how do you guys make money? I mean, I've been playing on and off for about 3 years and I've only just got my Kaho Horns. People say Niffle and stuff but I can't seem to make decent money there. I played a level 94 GS, 85 HW, 99 Priest.. I can't seem to make money. Everywhere I go people have gears that I can't even dream of and I thought MY kit was top. How do you guys get your gears? I seem to be stuck in a circle of getting raped everywhere I go, god wizards are useless. T.T

I'm currently using a standard IC set, you know:

2x Sting
Kaho
Monsoon Muff
Garg Boots
Dex survivors rod
Rocker armour.

Wizards make money fairly slowly. Your better off switching to a priest or a smith. If you really want to stick with wizard than MVP.

You can try making money buy selling Niff leeches on your Priest. o:

if you have IC gears you must be able to take on any MVP. with just barely IC gears i MVP kiel on my own on my wizz. and if you MVP all the time you are sure the get some crappy gears from them and just sell for cheap. i have made over 15 mill in one week from selling all the gears that i got from MVPing all the time.
you have to be patient when MVPing. i got low HP on my wizz so i die if i get hit even a couple times.  so just try to ice ice wall to trap any MVP and  use storm gust.

HW just use grape juice. so just go slow and go back to town and put things in storage to not be overweight. that way you save even more money.

Form me. only 2 ways to make money...

1). Farms for zeny. A lot Hard works, easy to started with but get limitted return. It take ages to get your dream equips.
2). Merchant ways.. Buy and Sell. Look simple but difficult to started with but once you master it, u can make millons per transactions and potentially 10s of millions per day withouth a lot of work. What you need to do is only spent about 30minutes to 1 hrs on NPC shop, shopping for item of great value, good demand and selling at low price. A few tips:
-  you need your PC to on at least 12hrs per day (if possible 24 hrs) for vending
-  u need some fund to make zeny.
-  Too many item to choose, focus on item that in good demand....

But finally, either ways you choose, if depended on how much time you spent on game. You need to spent at least 1-2hrs per day....

sell leeches, party with a smith at niff, make a WS and niff, MVP and sell drops, dont use gunslinger much they waste money T.T
Buy cheap sell high e.g a freind baught a SK on gogles head gear for 1.5mil i think. he can unslot and sell for more >;], buy and sell ADs

if your computer can dual client. You can make a bs. And then use your priest to collect mob and kill the monsters in niff. Then let your bs greed up your loots.

Sell your IC gear, buy these:

• +10 DBSS or DDBS mace - about 60m
• Eddga shoes or DL Valks (if you have a Whitesmith) - about 12m give or take for eddgas, 50m for DL Valks
• Deviling garment - 20m or less
• Tirfing shield - about 10m (if you can't afford it, high orc shield is helpful for keeping mobs - but this shield lets you make much larger mobs)
• Evil Druid or Disguise Armor
• One or two spring rabbit clips - 7 or 8m each

Then make a blacksmith if you don't already have one (or a whitesmith /slur) and go to niff.  It's hard work, but you'll make great money.  Greed loots, sell leeches (especially once you hit 99), Profit!

It's taken me years to get IC, I don't really want to sell it now that I have it ;< but I understand I'm not going to get anywhere with what I have.. What MvP's can I really kill with a wizzie? O_o

You can earn all that back and more with BS gears.  5-10m per day niffing, depending on how many hours you're able to spend at it.  I don't even have top gears, and I've made as much as 4m in a partial day (not even niffing the whole day).  It definitely won't take you years to earn it back, but furthermore BS gears are a lot more useful for making money than IC gears.  In other words, you can quickly (well, relatively) earn the money back for the IC gears if you have BS gears, but it will take you a long time to earn the money for BS gears if you only have IC gears.

At least that's my opinion, although maybe someone else will say something different (other than that, you could try MvPing with IC... I doubt you'll make money as quickly that way, but it's something to try - or you can party with a BS with your priest in niff, but then the money you make will be halved.)

If you get good at mvping and with a bit of luck you can match a lower end niffer.

Thing is my friend started with IC Gear and used his priest in niff to slowly build up money to start buying his bs gear. Took a few months but once we had a few bits he started to do that(using his ic gear to fill in the holes) and built up to the rest of his niff gear. now he can make 1-2 mil in 30 or so minutes on a decent day. Niff is an easy way to make a lot of money but it is boring. So MvP til you get some money to get some niff gear and then switch back and forth. Play the market a bit and you'll have money fairly quickly.

There is no true " Profit" way of making money overnight (unless you donate a bunch of stuff, and sell high end demand stuff, and vend overnight, but that's another story).

Everything I have, which only recently includes a few SQIs, was earned purely through patience, hard work, and...oh yeah.  Hard work.

Play the game, many people above have mentioned the most effective ways for any class to make money.  Some classes are just better at it than others.  Priests, Blacksmiths are the two that are the best at making money because of Niflheim.

Oh, and a note of advice: Don't get too close with any set of gears, as you can always buy it back when you have money.  Your IC set can easily be bought back with maybe like a week of mid-to-high end Niffing.
