Friends list message.

I keep getting a message that says.  "This name is not registered in your Friend List. Please check the name again."
How do I turn this off it's very annoying.

Add that person to your friendslist?   

I get this message from time to time, if someone PMs me and they have an IGN similar to someone in my friendslist  (there's a similar message for people with an IGN similar to someone in your guild).  Annoying cuz sometimes it actually is someone I know, just on another char.  I don't know why RO does this, or how it decides if two IGNs are "similar" but that's how it appears to work anyways.

A quick Google turns up this, and there are people there who say what I kind of assumed when I first saw this message - that it's some kind of anti-scam thing, although it mainly just serves to annoy   Still, no idea if it's turn-offable, although you might try using that one dialog where it lets you select which messages are displayed - doubt that will help any, but it's worth a try perhaps.

Nah battle mode can't even kill it. In the end I just nuked my friends list it's not worth the irritation.

xP you could've just removed the IGN that was causing the problem.  But yeah, that's a pain

Well I took them off one by one and it was a no go  so it seemed like more than one was doing it. I found the last one for sure but the other idk. The names were nothing a like so it's stupid and needs to be removed anyways.  =/

Start a poll in suggestions thread?  I doubt they can remove it entirely without the client source code, unless there's an actual flag for that somewhere, but they could make the string shorter so it's not a nuisance every time that happens.
