Requirements of item set combos

If it is even possible to remove some and or all requirements of equip set combos, would you be in favor of these kinds of adjustments? If you vote yes or no, please give a little explanation behind why.

I voted for yes. There are hardly any item set combos that include highest tier equipment. The majority of the combos are laughable to top-tier WoE and PvP players. The adjustments should be on specific set combos that have a moderate potential for use in mid tier meta-game. The players without the best gear would become stronger.

But generally the combo effects are only imbedded into one of the items in the set, so by stripping the combo requirement, while you may be increasing the usefulness of one item, you might very well be decreasing the value of the other(s) in the set. I think this is one of those things that would need to be looked at on a case by case basis.

Ancient Mummy card. Mummy card becomes less useful than it is now, and Ancient Mummy shields add Seeking Attack.
Angelic Protection[1]. Angel's Kiss, Reincarnation, Cardigan, and Guard depreciate, and Angelic Protection armor gives 900HP + 100SP + 3% level 1 Assumptio chance.
Angeling Pin. Angel's Dress depreciates in value, and Angeling Pin grants the extra 2 Int, 6 Luk, and 5 Flee.
Archdam card. Remove Freezer card and Permeter card requirements, both cards depreciate in value further. Heater and Archdam card increase in value and grant Holy armor and 10% extra cast time.
Burning Bow. Fire arrow requirement removed, Burning Bow increases in value.
Crab, Aster, Shell Fish cards. I don't even know where to begin with this one.
Cramp Card. Tarou card depreciates, Cramp card gives additional 3 Str.
Dragon Fly Card. Chonchon card depreciates in value ;_; Dragon Fly card gives additional 18 flee.
Eclipse card. Lunatic card depreciates, additional 18 flee.
Freezer card. Grants 10% more damage with Bash. Profit.
Freya's Shoes. Additional 5% HP and SP, +3 Agi.  Falcon Muffler depreciates.
Goibne's Greaves. Remove them from the Goibne's set combo, they depreciate, Helm/Armor/Spaulders increase in value.
Grand Peco card. Def and Vit + 3, increases in value.
Green Ferus Card. Dex + 5, AV damage + 5%, Throw Arrow damage + 10%. Cruiser, Anolian, Alligator and Dragon Tail cards depreciate.
Grizzly card. Blind chance increased to 9%, Bigfoot card depreciates.
Holden card. Str +4, MaxHP/SP +7%, 20% more damage with Mammonite. Raggler, Zipper Bear, Muka, and Baby Leopard card depreciate.
Hyegun card. All stats +1, Bongun/Munak card depreciate.
Incubus card. Int + 1, MaxSP + 150, SP recovery +10%.
Succubus card. Vit + 1, MaxHP + 1000, HP recovery + 10%.
Injustice card. Zealotus card depreciates, Atk + 20 and Luk + 3.
Mastering card. Poring card depreciates. Flee rate + 18.
Merman card. Remove Cruiser card requirement, Cruiser card depreciates. Merman, Anolian, Alligator, and Dragon Tail cards increase in value. +20% long range damage, +5 agi, +3 dex, Seeking Attack + 20% chance.
Morpheus's Hood. Remove Morpheus's Ring and Bracelet requirements, both depreciate. Hood and Shawl increase, Int + 5 MDef + 11 MaxSP + 20% uninterruptable cast time and cast time + 25%.
Morrigane's Helm. Str+ 2, Luk+ 9, Crit+ 13, Atk+ 18, Perfect dodge + 13. Morrigane's Manteau, Belt, and Pendant all depreciate.
Nightmare Terror card. Curse chance increased to 9%. Value increases.
Owl Duke card. Autocast level 5 Lightning bolt at 2% chance when hit.
Ulle's Cap. Remove Odin's Blessing requirement, reduces SP consumption of skills by 10% when Dex>70
Undershirt[0]. Remove Pantie requirement, Agi+ 5 Flee +10.
Vagabond Wolf card. Remove Wolf card requirement, Flee + 18.
Vidar's Boots. Vit + 5, Max HP/SP +9%, HP/SP recovery + 10%. Vali's Manteau depreciates.
Vocal card. Flee + 18.
Waste Stove card. Remove Seal card requirement.

Most of the cards that will depreciate in value are not used frequently already. The loss of their value is far less than the increase of the buffed item's values.

But the whole point of combos is that it's a lot rarer to get those two (or more) cards than just one, so you have to spend a lot of time or some money in order to get the combo you want.  It isn't just about making certain cards or items more valuable/useful, it's about making things work together.

The combos aren't usually used very much though, so even despite that I could still see reducing requirements.  It would also be cool if over time the cards which became depreciated could later be given new stats or buffs so that we could have some new cool cards on this server /slur But that's a lot of work for the GMs, so while it sounds cool I don't think I'd give support to it, since there are much more useful and important things for them to work on than that.

I do agree that many of the combos just aren't worth the effort/cost of obtaining/using them. Rather than eliminating combos, though, would it not be better to buff them so that they become useful? I like the idea of combos. It's a fun game mechanic, and if it can be salvaged, I think it should be.

I was thinking of suggesting the something like this.

Some of the gear/card combos are pretty nice, and removing certain requirements such as a specific headgear/headgear card, would really make them useful on this server. :)

yeh....for some of em u'd have to sacrifice kahos or a GR. i dont mind accessories/garments/shoes since they arent exactly a "must" for some classes

personally though, i think the morriganes set is fine.
