Could someone please explain the whole new client thingy?

Having been gone a while, I have no idea what's going on with that, other than what I've read.  Could someone please tell me:

Which AIs still work?  Any?
Is it because of the mercenary system, because people were abusing it, or both?  Neither?
Any other new functions I should know about?

There's the mailing system ,it's simple. You put down a persons name , title , whatever you'd like to write and can  send an item and zeny.
New cards have been implemented. (12 New cards.)
The Mercenaries.
Acid demonstration is now Neutral.
You can't plant Mushrooms or plants on top of each other.
Mushrooms and plants disappear after 10 minutes ( I believe )

I'm not so sure about the AIs.

edit : Asked someone about the AI's and apparently the Pot pitch doesn't work but the rest do.

The Pot-Pitch and Auto-Attack both no longer work.
The Mailing system costs 130z to use and it will not alert you if you have a new message, but it's a great way to send an item or zeny to one of your other accounts (instead of using Kafra). However, and I haven't tested this yet, I was told you cannot send items or zeny to a character on the same account.
