Other game advertising and server advertising?

I've been wondering about this quite a while.
People are advertising other games then (a)RO on the forums and even In-game.

Why is this allowed?
Isn't it actually the same as server advertising, ?
If not... it still has the same result, wich is losing players. >_>

So again, why is this allowed? Why isn't this bannable like server advertising is?

Because the games aren't the same?

I'd stop coming to these forums if I couldn't talk about other games.

Besides, no game that I know of restricts speech about different games.

And finally, no, the server isn't losing players by allowing them to talk about other games. Guess what? If the GM's said "no u cnt talk about othar gamez", they'd still lose players. Because - and this may shock you - the GMs cannot shield players from experiencing different content/games.

Yeah, discussing other games is fine. The only line we draw in that regard is actually linking people directly to those other games.
