Anthem Cleaner helped me last time. Here's my question. What is it that the anthem cleaner does?

Alright might as well add the reason. I'm curious if anthem cleaner will change my adata in any way?

Download and replace your patcher with this one.

Also, if you're updating from December of 2007, or doing a lot of updates when it errors out for your AnthemRO patching, I can give you an up to date adata.

It's because your sakray is outdated.  Anthem tries to pull files from the sdata.grf that just arent there.  It's also a possibility that your AnthemRO might be out of date.

As for your CRC errors, I recommend getting a registry cleaner/fixer.

Use the trial for this.  I highly recommend buying this as well.  It's what I use. 

Exiting midway will error the file it was downloading, making you have to run it again to redownload it and fix it.


Extract the file into your RO folder preferably, and then run the AnthemCleaner file inside the folder after you've extracted it.  The cleaner will do the rest of the work.  Once it finishes, the patch screen will pop up.

That means it detected that your adata.grf's md5sum is incorrect and it's downloading a new one, that file is 33MB, so on a medium/slow connection it can take a while to download. It's not frozen, and if you don't let it finish, your adata.grf will be corupted and the whole client will not work.

The guild emblems are stored in the RO folder inside a folder called _tmpEmblem. As AxeGunner suggested, if you currently have a folder or file called _tmpEmblem delete it, and then run the game. If the emblems still do not work go back to your RO folder and create a new folder called _tmpEmblem and run the game again.

Edit: There have been many suggestions on ways to make the AnthemCleaner a little more transparent as to what it's doing. In the next version there will be a percentage downloaded displayed and also if the cleaner is quit in the middle of a download the previous version of the file will be restored.

It removes dyefire, as that is one of the top reasons people can't connect, and there are more stable and more secure alternatives available. It removes the contents of the AI folder and either replaces it with the default AI or an install of MirAI, as that is another huge problem with people installing MirAI wrong and locking out charactors. And it renames the data folder, because there are so many things in there that can break an installation (sclientinfo.xml or incorrectly applied patches as examples).

same here....i can walk anywhere in aro with almost no lag...
but whenever i start niffing, the game just gets choppy :/

been like that after the halloween update...
and no, i didnt not change/install anything new in my laptop since then, nor did i install the halloween theme, and other ro skin addons, etc.
