What does a +(#) mean when it's in front of an equip

Self explained question.  What does it mean?  I've never known, and I've never bothered to ask.

it means that a weapon will have more attack power because it has been "upgraded" by use of phracon, emvertacon (sp), oridecon (depending on the level of the weapon a different stone is used). the higher the number.. the more attack power it will have added. for armors.. the higher the number the more defense is added (eluminums are used for armor upgrading)
