The best way is to have patience and patience and patience and more patience. And aside from obtaining it from that map, you might asw ell get phen, marc, hydra and swordfish card in that map which are also needed by players.

Niffing for the money to buy 1...or trying to farm the cards?

Niff.
Cards can be very random.
You can get one on your first kill or you could take a week.
Plankton card is 2m
Lets say you hunt your Plankton card for 6 hours and finally get it.
You could have made 9.6m.

yeah if u plan on farming cards as an alternative for niff i suggest cards that go for 4m and above.
