It's how you balance that's different in the posts...

Well you have two choice though, i for one prefer rogues can i can auto-steal cakes and have another chance of getting another when i kill it so that makes it 2 cakes in 1  ;D not cause i'm lazy of picking the items up haha and also he's got a 1% higher discount rate than ws so when i was poor back then i used my rogue to buy vendable healing items, boosting speed pots, etc for my bs to vend. Generally i like rogue cause of his versatility to use bows, dagger, and the ability to copy cat skills (love SG's ) Then ofcourse you need to copy cat skills which are applicable for your gears as in if you're poor, you're probably better off copying skills like triple blow or turn undead, etc.

Well aero so maybe you can't auto steal for a sin but you can do it manually which i dont quite see the problem heh just required some SP to do it but heck everytime i'm in tf02 with my sin, my SP generates fast enough for me to constantly steal; other than that you just need more energy to click on the mobs to steal haha which i for one don't really like in the long run  :P And i like sin too for it's high dmg with daggers, dont have to have good gears to use daggers if you ask me, back then when i lvled my sin to 96, all i got was a +10 Stiletto [tri Andre] and a +7 Gladius [tri Andre], started out baseball cap started out with moonlight hat though, whisper muff started out with condor muff, theif suit[0], boots
  • <----- Upgraded them all to +4 and i had 2 mantel rings (str rings) at lvl 80 ish i started dealing nearly 900 dmg, at lvl 90 i dealt 1k+ dmg, i remember at lvl 96 i dealt 1.2k. So i basically 2 hit myst cases. Sin's do have their benefits too  ;) I tried both cause i wanted to have a feel of both classes, in fact i made many theif classes, rogue classes & sin classes just for the fun of it  Ultimately i prefer rogue cause they seem more cool and versatile to play with

uh... I'll try give a short run-down of what rogues can do etc.
The most common things a rogue does/can do:
Under each section I've put what weapon you could use. If it's both dagger and bow, the bold is the better option, if applicable

1. Auto-steal
This is a signature move of the rogue class. You attack a monster and you get up to 20% chance to steal per hit. This is commonly used to save sp when farming.
It is extremely useful in TF2 and at seals/mobsters
Dagger only

The following are all skills commonly plagiarised by rogues/stalkers. This is also a signature skill of rogues/stalkers

2. Raging Trifecta Blow
Often used to get more damage in your attacks. Combined with double attack you will have a near never ending combo streak of yellow numbers. Depending on your aspd you should get between level 5 and 10 of this skill. The higher your aspd, the higher level you can get. This is mainly because the higher the level of RTB, the lower the chance for it to proc. Most commonly used when farming, or when hunting stings with a bow (especially if you don't have a sw card in your bow)
Dagger/Bow

3. Bowling Bash
This is often used to level quickly using mobs. Be careful though, because it takes a great deal of skill, experience with builds and some pretty good reduction gears to get this to work nicely. It is THE skill rogue/stalker classes use to kill mobs with because of the splash damage. If you use a bow, the element of the arrow is the element of your attack and the arrow isn't used. Very useful in certain places. I can hit Loli Ruri's with about 3300 damage in a mob of up to 10 loli's on my stalker using a silver arrow. Mainly used in places such as Skellington and Valley of Gyoll.
Dagger/Bow

4. Turn Undead
You need an undead armour (evil druid card) for this. If you can buy one, do so. It is a very very useful armour for a rogue/stalker to have. If it's in a padded armour, your BS/WS can use it in niff too, should you ever make a niff smith. You can use this to 1-hit KO undead monsters. For more help on builds etc. refer to the first post on page 30 of the rogue/stalker discussion thread. You'll use this skill mostly at ancient mummies.
Dagger/Bow

5. Storm Gust
You will need dex gear for this. You want a short cast time and high int for damage. Storm gust has a chance to freeze your enemies. Once storm gust is casted, you can shoot things with a bow whilst the knockback effect of SG keeps the monsters away. This is best used at high orcs.
Dagger/Bow

6. Jupiter Thunder
Like Storm gust. Difference is that this skill has a cooldown of your attack speed, and it is a 1 target spell.
Best skill to use in ice dungeon.
Dagger/Bow

Other skills I've plagiarised, but are not worth explaining much further:
- Water ball
- Magnus Excorsismus
- Arrow shower
- Magnum break
- Bash
- Fire wall (though this can be very useful as a barrier)
- Heal (can be very useful too)
- Flying Side Kick (useful WoE skill)

Other rogue skills worth mentioning:
- Intimidate: Teleports you and a monster to a random location on the map
- Compulsion Discount: 1% more discount from NPC's than a BS/WS
- Graffiti: Write text on the floor with the cost of 1 red gem (for fun skill)
- Steal Coin: steal zenny from a monster

There are way more things that can be written about. I've kept is relatively short and to the point. Hope this clears up some things /ok

i dont like it how people keep saying agi is useless.  i had everything on agi (but a few on dex to make 100 hit spot on) and nothing ever hit me, i never had to heal and trained in toy factory from lvl 30-55 easy.     this worked for me coz, although it took a while to actually kill, i didnt die and spent NO money on healies. (plus when they were getting killed i would be smoking or eating so i wasnt bored.)
aside from that jibber jabber, id say agi is very good and i would say get alot of flee and a good amount of atk using a good weapon. (i only did about 80 dmg each time but fast)

i dont remember to much else detail wise.
