It doesn't actually...
I'm pretty sure that if I had the same class at the same level and with the same gear, my character would be better with 3 stats balanced than with all stats balanced

You can get a maximum of 2 stats maxed out.
(Max base is 99)
Though it is rarely that you want to get 99. You're better off getting it to a break point.
But that's too much into game mechanics for a new player.
Just try things, play around, make mistakes. It's the best way to learn /ok

I'm just saying, if you go into game mechanics too much when your new to this game, it might be a bit too much to handle.
It's better to start by understanding the basics and build on that, rather than start at the top to find your foundation to be lacking and you get even more confused.
You can only get 2 stats maxed because you can't get more stat points to max more.

Also, I'm no pro. I'm a mid-tier player at best. And I don't think you're stupid. You're smarter than most new players because you're actually asking questions on the forums.
Everybody starts out with no knowledge of the game. You build up knowledge whilst playing. It just takes time /ok

thank you right i have 2questions (one is alittle bit off topic)
1:is it easier to lvl higher novie? and
2:are people who play these kind off games geeks?people make fun off me and call me a geek cause i play these games and i wanna know how everyone else feels about this (it is partly on thief class since it is related to being made fun off playing these games(thief class is part of this game righ?))

1. If you mean a novice high (after reaching 99/50 and being reborn), it is harder. You need more experience per level. I heard it's ~3x the normal exp you need to get.
If you mean just leveling a normal novice. Yes, I believe it is faster, but it's not worth the bother because you don't get any extra skills and the hp/sp are really really bad.

2. Are all male haircutters gay? Similar question. The answer is no of course. You're more likely to run across geeks playing games than the 'cool kids'.
People calling you a geek for playing a game are just plain stupid. But yeah, you said you were quite young, so I guess it's part of your age group.
If it bothers you, don't tell people you play. But to be honest, they're probably jealous of you because you dare say you like to play those games. They could be playing them as well but keep it a secret.

Basically remember that a thief class's basic trump card in PvM is flee^^ checking Ratemyserver.net for a monsters required flee to dodge 95% of their attacks would be a great advantage for a starting thief class xP The places i would stick with as a thief would either be leaf cats or metallings they are easy to kill and give decent exp, changing to 2nd class would make ur life a bit easier cuz of the added flee^^ Lol the Stereotipical view of a so called "Geek"Haters keep hating but u just keep playing^^

depending on your level, i normally have around 30 - 40 dex, rest is on agi, str not so much cause a high atk dagger should do the trick (damascus is a goody) I've build tons of thief classes so i can relate to your situation  :D and apart from that when i started playing on this server which was years and years ago, i started out as a thief  ;)

What i did was lvl a novice to 30 with the novice gears purchaseable in the novice shop, just go pyramids. you'll level in no time [30 mins or so]

Next step i would change to a theif, pump my stats on agi and a little bit of dex, 15-20 dex, and level using the stilleto which the job changer gave me in payon dun01 until i'm ready to train in payong dun02. Oh and i'd carry some meat 100 or so and i'd also use the healing items which i collect while training, red herbs and red pots. I'd constantly earn high exp in here until about lvl 50. While lvling up i'll pump on agi and add a little bit more dex until about 25 or 30. By now i'd have a damascus and some good theif npc gears (theif suit, buckler, boots, etc)

Lvling is not such an issue here, i normally just go to tf02 and well i normally lvl my npc geared characters here till like... 80? sometime higher   The higher i've lvled in tf02 is my sin which is 96  ;) easy class to lvl if u ask me  ;D

Oh and i never added any str until my flee was high enough to dodge most attack in tf02. Dex... i add until 40 only.

I dont know if you've chosen a second job yet or not but i normally go for a rogue cause of his auto-steal skill  :D great tool to collect cakes and earn some good money. I did this process till i got my ws gears completed except a lord kaho haha

auto-steal is useful if you dont pick up items all the time or cant find any items to sell for a bit more money
one suggestion try lvl/get items with friends or something it helps alot really =D
