Yes i remember reading something about a packet loss. Will the lag eventually subside, or am I doomed to lag forever? Because it seriously makes my playing less enjoyable. And what I've noticed is that I seem to lag based on Zone , like in Geffenia.

Now my question is, Can anything be done about this?

run the anthem cleaner, it worked for me both after the update, and again after the maintenance.
