sound problem

 i have a problem with my sound,i just recently copied the whole game from a friend because i had some trouble downloading the update.but the new ro has no sound effects. i have checked my in game sound options as well as my setup in the RO folder but its still the same. any suggestions?

did u try Alt+O in game?
check the uncheck boxes over there and adjust ur vol~

Sound effects as in sword swings and noises when you do things?  Or sound effects as in background music?

I have the same problem, I can hear the sound of effects, but I have no background sound.

And in options, my sound is on.

if you try alt y  there's a few options near the bottom for "sound" and "bgm" i guess just make sure they're on?

It the same for me before but when I run my sakray to update they download the DGM for me so try it.

For some reason or another, the original BGM isn't included.

Just download it and put it into your bgm folder.

hey guys thanks a lot for your help. sorry i was not around when u posted. axeguner, i dont mean background music, i mean sound effects. like spell sounds and sword swinging etc. i have tried alt+o, /sound etc. im not really interested in the bgm, just the effects.

1.  Could you screenshot or list off (top to bottom, left to right) your sound settings?

2.  What operating system are you using?

do u mean my setup in the ro folder or the in game options?

i am using windows xp (sp2)

btw, i still have my old ro on a second hard disk and the sound works perfectly there.

And can you get any BGMs to play?

direct 3d hall

full screen mode(ticked)

use 3d sound

headphone

sound frequency    sound bits
22k                        16 bit


i have not messed with any settings


oh and bgms do not play ingame, they never have

Turn the options in the sound fields all to the lowest settings.

If you get sound, then work your way up in each field, or leave as is.

To test your BGMs, open up your BGM file, and download/put file number 21 in, and see if you get sound on the login screen.
