Yes, but you would have to roll back to a high novice.  You'd keep your base levels, but have to regain your job levels.

EDIT:
To clarify something else, if you were to rollback to a high aco, you'd keep all the job levels you gained as a high aco, but have to regain the ones as a 2-1 or 2-2 class.

Yes. You'd have to rollback to High Novice.

Beat me to it.

You have to rollback to a High Novice
So if your HP base is 80 for example, you get a lvl 80/10 high novice.
Or you can change back to a 80/(job lvl you changed into HP)high  acolyte

I think you have to get the 10 job lvls for High Novice. Then you would go to High Thief, get 40-50 job lvls (go for 50), then SinX.

Yeah.

You can change right away to a high thief, but you'd need to gain 40-50 job levels again.

I think you have to get the 10 job lvls for High Novice. Then you would go to High Thief, get 40-50 job lvls (go for 50), then SinX.
You keep the job levels you gained as the class you rolled back to.

Although novice it really doesn't matter.

Ah okay. And true, 10 job lvls is nothing.

And yes, you'd still have to get job lvls for your High Thief, since you went all the way back to High Novice.

Basically, you just start over except that you keep your base level.

Yes.

BUT:

If you rolled back to a high aco instead of a high novice, you would keep your 50 job levels.

Yes. You can't rollback from HP to High Thief. You have to go High Novice first. Thus you have to regain those job levels again. But I found High Thief the easiest first trans class to job 50.
