Low Attack With Monk Why?

Like when I use my knight each 10 str points add around a bonus 20 attack along with 1 atk each point so around 30. But with monk I just keep getting +1 atk for each str point all the way to 99. At 99 str along with a +10 TTHH Mace I only have 142+20 attack, whats the problem? (99+20 str with bless)

Every 10 points you get a secret attack bonus of [str/10]^2, it doesn't show up in the status window. Also it's best to keep your strength at multiples of 10, the difference between 99+20 and 90+20 isn't that much.
