Your wife will need to reach level 70 before you can even share with the whole family, ignoring the 10-level rule.

from what i can pick up all i can suggest is that you get your wife to atleast 70 and even share with you and your adopted child. That way i think its about a definite that you, your wife and your child will all be sharing exp.
