WOE underhanded tactics Question
« on: November 15, 2007, 08:19:07 pm »
just wanted to clarify.. is taking ur guild emblem off during WOE so that it's hard to target you considered JUST morally wrong... or is it actually also in the Underhanded Tactic category?

There's no rule against it.  People who do it are just asses.

I don't believe it has anything to do with morals either. It's just an uncommon tactic, doesn't get you punished. Pretty sure Domination does it a lot.

picture this tho.. wat if all guilds or a majority of them started doing it.. imagine the amount of ppl swarming to protect their emperium.. but no1 can target correctly cause their is no emblems... i think that will get kind of annoying dont you? i mean in part.. aren't the guild emblems in place so that we can decipher ppl who are, and aren't in our guild.. or are they soley some kind of in-game artistic expression?  maybe all of the above? lol just my opinion.. ^^

Of course it gets annoying, but people learn to forget about it and keep WoEing anyway. It's not that effective in the first place, hence why majority of the guilds actually don't use that 'tactic.'

ya i gess u guys are right.. in my opinion.. its not a good tactic wen ur battling someone face to face.. but wen they're right by the emp.. and u got 6+ of ur teammate mobbing to stop 1 char.. its hard enough to target cause my clicker constantly targets the emperium.. but w/o an emblem.. u can only decipher whose not in ur guild by the name underneath.. cause no emblem pops up above the head of the sprite.. or to the left.. and all u get is this skinny lettering that could cause confusion because of the other sprites around it..

I'm pretty sure once that happens, there would be some sort of rule implemented about it. The good thing about the server is that they are constantly making new policies to address these problems, so the approach is pretty fluid.

so your biggest arguement about it is just using a flaw in your defensive tactics? Don't crowd the emp and you wont have problems? /hmm

Well, for I'm all for keeping the emblem up for fairplay. The emblems are displayed above the characters for identity purposes, and rather intended too. It ensures that to break into an enemy territory, one must display superior fighting tactics and strategies, instead of concealment or imitation (Copying emblem).

Of course, people have to be constantly on their guard, since you'd never know when people will turn to tactics like these.

Wow so that guild has dishonorable tactics and poor communication?

I'm getting pissed off by th number of people jumping warps. I'd love to see it so you could only go through a warp of your own guilds & maybe allies. I feel that if you can't organize your guild well enough to set up your own warps you don't deserve any kind of success. there is or at least should be more to WoE than having Godly equipped cappers run in and take a castle. & logistics should be considered just as important
