Lagging on Vista

My new computer has Vista (I learned in 2 days that vista is the biggest piece of shit ever). So yea Vista, apparently, makes the game lag like every so often.This is really getting on my nerves, Especially when i'm trying to level. When I build mobs they kill me because of it. So yea I want it solved once and for all, so I made this thread. This is what I got to ask;

Has there been any patches or downloads to help Vista to stop lagging all the time? If so can you give me a link to this? If so, thanks.

I dont understand... cuz I got vista too (involuntarily) but it works fine... I lagg when I start... but eventually it charges up quickly. Maybe you should post your computer's technical thingys (like ram and al that) so someone can give a personal atention to your isue

Disable Aero and all the other retarded Vista effects. The lagging should decrease.

it lags like shit when its on windows mode, is if its in windows mode try doing full screen.

There are a couple of problems with running RO on Vista. Mostly, it's probably that Vista and its interface are using too much of your memory, and RO is EXTREMELY memory intensive for how small of a program it is. It will try to whore up as much as it can to run, and Vista doesn't play well with others in this regard.
If you have a limited amount of RAM, it could easily cause a problem like this, since Vista uses up a ton just to run.

Same for me. I have a brand new gameing laptop and RO one of my only programs installed but it lags so bad i can barely move let alone kill one tiny monster before dying. It's really annoying and my first time using vista so i'm not quiet sure if thats whats causeing it
