2Handed Swords or Spears?

Hi. I was wondering if my lvl 40 swordsman should buy a Lance or use a 2handed sword/bastard sword..? Cuase the lance seems to give a big att boost, but i have 2 handed mastery..

Also, which weapon would be better in the long run.? like, later on when i become a knight?

I would suggest using 2 handed swords for now.  The extra attack speed from 2H quicken is great for those without doppel cards.  Also, i don't see a lot of Spear knights, unless they have a Nib...

If you can afford it, Buy an Elemental, Two handed sword.

I think Razerman was offering a deal awhile ago - if you found him all the items Needed, He'd make you an Elemental Weapon.
Not sure if he's still doesn't it or not, But it wouldn't hurt to check.

You'd probably want a VVS (Very, very Strong) Fire elemental Sword.
This would help you considerably when killing undead monsters.

Another choice would be a VVS Ice Two handed sword.
This would help you greatly later on, When you become a Knight, and start leveling on High Orcs.


If you can't afford a VVS Weapon, even a Normal Elemental Sword will do the trick.

Lol. I'm noob, how do you get (or make?) VVS weapons.? How much do they usually cost?
Oh, and im also wondering if i should keep my bastard sword, or get a two-handed sword?

And would NPC armors last me for awhile..?

Well, first of all, You need to get a Blacksmith to make them for you.

A VVS elemental Weapon is usually around 1 mill or so.
However you can get it without the "VVS" prefix, and save some Zeny.

About your sword: It depends really. for now, Get whichever one has the highest possible attack.

About the Armour:  Yeah, the NPC ones will last you for a bit.
Try and find a Pupa Card (+700HP I think) And a Slotted Armour. Silk Robes are about 120K each I think.
