Xfire Guide: Renewed, with lesser eyesploding screenshots.

What use has Xfire:

Xfire, by itself, registers the amount of time you have spent while playing a game.
However, in order to make Xfire register your playtime, you need to have it
running on the background.
Xfire allows you to comunicate with other Xfire users as well, but unlike other games,
you can't integrate Xfire into Ragnarok in terms of chatting with your Xfire contacts.
Also, using Xfire, you can takes creenshots, which are automaticly uploaded to your
Xfire profile page.  However, this function is also unavavailable in Ragnarok.

Step one: - Getting started

Sigh up for an account and download your Xfire client at
www.xfire.com
Naturally, when the download has finish, run the Xfire-Setup.
Start up your Xfire client for the first time and let it run its automatic updates.

Step two: - Renaming files

Open up your RO folder, or any folder you have saved AnthemRO in.
Usually, it’s “C:\Program Files\Gravity\RO”.
Find your ‘Ragnarok’ and ‘Ragexe’ files and add a ‘ – ‘ to their names.
( ‘Ragnarok-‘ and ‘Ragexe-‘ )

In case you’re using Dyefire: Rename your ‘Dyefire’ file ‘Ragexe’.
In case you don’t use Dyefire: Rename your ‘Anthem’ file ‘Ragexe’.

In both cases, rename the ‘AnthemPatch’ file ‘Ragnarok’.

Step three: - Shortcuts

In case you’re dealing with Dyefire:
Any shortcuts you have made will need to have their goal address changed.
Right-click a Dyefire shortcut.

Start up Dyefire and press the ‘Configuration’ button.

Select ‘client’ and rename the current address ,AnthemPatch.exe, into
‘Ragnarok.exe’.

Step four: - Making Anthem work with Xfire

If you’ve fully installed Xfire, and properly made it update itself, it’s
time to make the magic happen.
Start up Xfire and select ‘Friends’.
Now select ‘Detect Games’ on the right side of your Xfire window.

A small window will pop up.
From there, select ‘Games’.
Click ‘uninstalled games’ and press the ‘R’ key on your keyboard.
This should bring you to the Games which starts with an ‘R’.
As you click Ragnarok, select the ‘Manual’ option.
Find Ragnarok, and fill in as shown in the screenshot.

You have finished the guide, all should be working as it should.

Oh great idea. This problem plauged me for days when I first started playing aRO. I eventually got it working =P

Also, my Xfire was a bit messed up, took me a month or so to get it working again after Anima, untill
I found my screenshots on my photobucket again. x3

If the GM's find this guide ''helpfull'' in anyway, I request a sticky! ^3^

You're allowed to say anima because for one this server used to be and is still thought to be anima by some players and two you can advertise dead servers since they are dead.

I'll think about stickying this if you make the guide a bit more user friendly (and if more members show interest in XFire).  By "more user friendly," there are a bunch of possibilities, such as breaking the "wall of text" format you have now into easier to follow steps.  Also, there are some spelling errors in your post that would need to be fixed.

I've been using it for a long time and personally could go without it >.<
