AnesisRO Rules
Please obey the rules so we can keep the game fun and playable for everyone. Thank you.
1. Game Relations:- There is absolutely NO BOTTING, hacking or any use of a 3rd party program (this includes macros). The only legal exception to this rule is the use of legal AI homounculus scripts, such as MirAi.
- You may only use the current official AnesisRO client to play on our servers. Use of other clients or older and not supported clients will lead to your accounts being banned.
- Do not spam (= consecutively using a spell for no apparent reason) the following skills in any town (events and non-crowded areas are an exception):
- Skills that hinder player movement: Ice Wall, etc.
- Area/Ground skills: Storm Gust, Magnus Excorcismus, Bard & Dancer songs, etc.
- Skills that shake the screen: Hammer Fall, Heaven's Drive, etc.
- Party skills used in a large party: Magnificat, Overdrive, Weapon Perfection, etc.
- Exploiting bugs or mechanics that result in the gain of large quantities of zeny or items, or disrupting the server will result in a ban. Reporting a bug of this nature will result in a reward.
- Do not pretend to be a Game Master, or be affiliated in any way with the GM team. Do not name yourself similar to a GM, past or present.
- Do not attempt to sell items, zeny, or accounts for out of game items or currency. This includes all types of items, both electronic and physical. If you buy items, zeny, or accounts with out of game items or currency, we reserve the right to confiscate the purchased items without compensation or warning.
- Do not trade items, zeny or accounts for items, zeny or accounts on another server. If you get scammed due to a Inter-Server trade, we will NOT help you. If you advertise or promote trade between servers you will be punished.
2. Character, Guild, and Forum Names:- Do not give your characters and forum account inappropriate names.
- Do not name yourself similar to another character or forum account with the intention to impersonate them.
- Should you name yourself inappropriately, we reserve the right to change the name, delete the character, or ban the account, whatever we see fit as punishment.
- What is considered inappropriate:
- Gore, Hentai and Ecchi images, Pornography, disturbing images or posts, racism, and excessive violence.
- Racial/Ethnic Hatred, Racial/Ethnic Slurs, Symbols of Racial/Ethnic hatred, or National Slurs/Hatred. This also includes negatively portraying religion and creeds, along with all religious figures.
- Inappropriate language, attempts to bypass the forum language filter, or any questionable material.
- Sexually Explicit or Violent Acts or Extremely Violent Acts.
- Real Life Threats.
- Insults of personal sexual preference pertaining to the original poster or another player.
- Distribution of any personal real-life information.
- Obscene or vulgar discussions. (bodily functions/human anatomy that are considered obscene or vulgar or pornographic in nature)
- Harassment of any form. Insultingly referring to players, Anesis Staff Members, other server staff members, or any groups of people.
- Ban Evasion: This includes posting on another forum account, whether it is of the banned player, on a friend's account, or having someone post on the banned player's behalf.
3. EventsDo not interfere with any events the GMs are hosting or disrupt a Prontera War with malicious intent.[/list]
- We reserve the right to mute any character who interferes with any of the GM-hosted events or uses underhanded tactics to disrupt and give an unfair advantage/disadvantage to either faction during the Prontera Wars. This includes, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
- Using an unfactioned support class to continually give heals/buffs/etc. to players and/or NPCs involved in the Prontera Wars.
- Using an unfactioned character to plant traps for players and/or NPCs involved in the Prontera Wars to slow down/stop them from properly attacking/defending.
- Using a factioned character to lure NPCs of the opposite faction away from their goal and/or keeping them away so that the other faction cannot find it, thus being unable to kill it and properly end the war in their defense. Example:
A Player supports Rekenber. The Player makes one of his/her characters join Pax Imperia so that during a war that Pax Imperia must defend their crystal during a Prontera War, the Player may lure one of the Rekenber NPCs away from the heat of battle, thus giving other Rekenber members/NPCs more time to destroy Pax Imperia's crystal. - Using Land Protector during a Warp Roulette event to put a stop to the warps.
- If we notice any other disturbing interferences (that are not currently listed here), we reserve the right to mute any characters, accounts, etc. Continuous offenses will result in temp. bans, and, if it continues to occur, perma-bans.
4. Player Relations:- Respect all players. No harassment or discrimination is allowed. (Exception: PVP is not moderated unless it is serious and spills over into other situations.)
- Do not attack or loot other players' monsters without their permission. This includes the use of the "Greed" skill.
- A monster "belongs" to another player if it is attacking, being attacked by, trapped by, or following that player.
- When casting area attacks, make sure not to hit other players' monsters.
- Monsters that give the MVP sign when killed are exempt from this rule.
- The maps pay_dun00, gl_prison, orcsdun01 and anthell01 are exempt from this rule. (Exception: You may not keep following another player around killing/looting their monsters without their permission.)
- Intentional over-excessive buffing of monsters with intention to MPK (monster player kill) is not allowed on any maps. This also pertains to MVP type monsters.
- Do not frame/bait players into getting them punished. This applies especially (but not limited to) to greed/KS/and harassment cases.
- Do not warp players using Warp Portal without their permission. Exception: You may do this in PVP, but not to an EXP loss map or an unpathable tile.
- Do not use Azoth/Hylozoist Card or the skill Abracadabra in any town, any of the KS-allowed maps or on the first level of any dungeon. Violators may have their Azoth/Hylozoist Card confiscated.
- Do not trap other players with skills, such as Ice Wall, unless you are competing for an MVP or miniboss.
- Please be aware that if you /memo unpathable tiles, you are doing so at your own risk. Should the use of your warp come into question, your warps will be wiped.
- Purposefully gathering normal monsters and leading them to another player with the intention of killing them is not allowed, however using Dead Branches/Bloody Branches and forcing MVPs to spawn minions, anywhere other than KS-allowed maps, is allowed. (Note: DBs/BBs are disabled in certain key towns. Where they are not, it is legal.)
- Do not chase someone through different PVP rooms killing them repeatedly without their permission.
- Do not scam people of their items, accounts, zeny or ad credit.

- Do not attempt to pass off an item with a lesser value as an item with a greater value (false advertisement).
5. Alchemist Related:- Do not kill other alchemists' plants without their permission. (Exception, this rule does NOT apply in KS-allowed maps or plants that have been spawned in a town.)
- Monsters that an alchemist's plants/homunculus are fighting belong to that player.
- Do not allow your Homunculus to attack other players' monsters. Use the "Stand By" (Alt+T) command as necessary.
6. Game Master (GM) Relations:- GMs will never ask for your items or password outside the support ticket system, in which case a GM may ask you to log off your account, trade you or remove/restore items as necessary.
- GMs will never give away any zeny, items, or tank players. GMs may, however, give out items as a result of an event.
- Do not disrespect past or present AnesisRO staff members.
- Slander and Libel is considered disrespect and will not be tolerated.
- Do not spam messages to GMs.
- Do not ask to be a GM.
- GM personal information is private. Do not divulge any personal information about the GM team (past or present) through any means, ingame or otherwise. This may include real names, IGNs of the GM's player characters, phone numbers, IM screen names, or any other personal information pertaining to any GM or staff member. Reporting players who give out this information will result in pardoning one instance of this particular rule as well as favorable consideration for other past offenses of this rule (you must prove to Adrift's satisfaction that the accused party is in fact guilty). Failure to do so may result in a permanent ban of forum, IRC, and/or ingame accounts.
- GMs reserve the right to ban/mute for rule violations without warning.
7. Account Related:- You are responsible for your account's security at all times. Choose a strong, secure password that you will not forget.
- If you give out your password to anyone, you take FULL responsibility for their actions (including botting/scamming/item loss/character deletion).
- It is not allowed to move/sell items from an account that does not belong to you, but which you have access to, without the consent of the owner.
- We are not responsible if your items got stolen because someone guessed your password, or because they deceived you.
- Item recovery is at the GMs' discretion. They may or may not charge you an item recovery fee if you have broken any of the item recovery rules.
8. War of Emperium:- Do not destroy your own Emperium (e.g. using Homunculus, Gravitation Field, etc.).
- Do not summon Transcendent Characters in Non-Trans Castles.
- No underhanded tricks (spamming trade requests, party invites, PMs to distract, etc.).
9. Battlegrounds:- Do not use more than one character in Battlegrounds at one time. Violation of this rule will result in a mute and the loss of your Valor and Bravery Badges.
10. Voting Related:- Each user is limited to one forum account. If multiple accounts are found on the same IP range, every account but the oldest one will be banned. This does not apply to multiple users with the same IP with their own accounts, only to individual players using multiple accounts.
- Do not use more than one forum account to vote, or to bypass the cooldown to cast multiple votes simultaneously. Negligence of this rule will result in a permanent ban on all ingame and forum accounts linked to the offender's IP. We reserve the right to ban or remove ad credits from accounts who are suspected of vote frauding.
- If you think that you might have voted twice accidentally (so that it is considered as vote fraud), do not spend your ad credits, but send in a support ticket immediately!
- For players from an internet cafe: it is highly discouraged to vote from an internet cafe if there are other people who play and vote for AnesisRO as well. We are not responsible if you are banned because multiple votes have been casted from the same IP range. Accidental vote frauding can be prevented by making sure that you are the only player from your IP!
11. Reports:12. Vending:- Do not attempt to pass off an item with a lesser value as an item with a greater value.
- Examples: Gold Ring instead of Celebration Ring, or a non-slotted item instead of a slotted one.
It is considered as false advertisement if you...
- ... put non-slotted items in between slotted items in your shop.
- ... put Gold Rings in between Celebration Rings in your shop (same goes for other items with similar sprites).
- ... advertise an item (e.g. Celebration Ring) when only selling an item with less or no value (e.g. Gold Ring).
- To avoid false advertising, do not mix non-slotted items and slotted items or items with similar sprites in your shop.
- To avoid being tricked by someone who is breaking this rule, look before you buy!
13. Other:- Do not advertise or name other RO servers, server websites, or any type of inappropriate websites (ie. adult content, hacks, bots, etc).
- If someone apologizes for breaking a Player Relation rule accept the apology and move on. Do not harass, swear at or threaten them.
- Do not attempt to cheat the system! Attempting to create loopholes or trying to get around existing rules by cheating the system is both harmful to the server and disrespectful to the staff. It will not be tolerated. Individuals who attempt to fool the system or staff will be banned without warning.
- These rules apply to all mediums related to AnesisRO, including but not limited to IRC, Teamspeak, the game, and the forums.
- These rules are subject to change without notice.
