If you can't enter all the lyrics of a particular song fast enough, it might help to try at a shorter song.
That's a pretty callous response to a glitch that locks you into an unexitable dialog.
My suggestion of editing the song length had to do more than just with this glitch. For example, whoever coded the lyrics made it pretty inconsistent. Sometimes, the first word of a sentence is not capitalized (especially in the case of the word "and"), sometimes the sentences have periods after them like is grammatically correct, and sometimes, there are commas, and sometimes there is no end punctuation, making it difficult to follow a pattern.
This makes the long songs quite difficult, because you have to constantly pan back and forth to make sure you happened to get that particular song's grammar correct.
The Choir requiring such long songs also makes it difficult for ESL(English Second Language) speakers to complete, because not only do they have to deal with inconsistent punctuation, they have to constantly check and re-check to make sure they've got the spellings correct.
I understand we're an English server, but we do have a large ESL population on this server, and making an event that is bias in favor of English First Language speakers gives ESL speakers an unfair disadvantage.
