I know, and I'm saying that its attack range is 10+ cells away from that 1 cell its occupying, so trapping it is difficult.  Plus its hard to lure it onto the 3x3 where the trap affects, so for snares to be effective time wise, you need to lay down a few in a row and a good distance from where you want to be safe. All in all its much easier just to push them away

And now.... a stupid question. What should I do with all those Edible Pumpkins (830 now) and Raw Doughs (199 now)? Is there some long quest that needs those or are they tradable somewhere?

Pumpkin Festival Encore!
The Pumpkin Festival has returned!  Investigate rumors of "Old Cobby" south of Prontera or take a break in Alberta to make pumpkin pie for bonus stats and a special certificate!  Collect more Pumpkin Festival Certificates from the Pumpkin Harvest game, Trick-or-Treat, or those pesky Mischievous Ghosts and trade them to the Pumpkin Festival Rewards NPC in Alberta (118, 71) for both new and returning prizes!

Almost everything involving the Pumpkin Festival is explained in the wiki article. 
The pumpkins and dough go to the Travelling Cook in Alberta.  He's almost directly south of the Teleport Service NPC's position.
