Hats of Summer...
Sorry about Hats of Summer, there was a bit of a mix up last week so they weren't released.
This week we'll have last week's Hats and this week's hats. Hope you enjoy them!

Direct Assault Rewards


New Direct Assault rewards have been added in. Pick up Cendrawasih or Hillslion Egg from the Direct Assault Rewards NPC! Also, Royal and Imperial faction gear sets have been implemented. All gears and eggs are account bound.

Royal and Imperial Muffler[1]:
Gain 5% more experience from Demi Human monsters.

+5 MDEF. +5 DEF. 15% reduction from Water element damage.
Additional 5% more experience points from Demi Human monsters.
Add a 15% chance of casting Level 3 Cold Bolt when attacking.

Faction Dungeons
Faction spies have been captured and are being held in jail! You can use the Pax Entrance NPC or Rek Entrance NPC located in Prontera in order to access this dungeon. Your faction must have control of Prontera and you cannot enter the dungeon while War of Prontera is active. These spies drop various pet foods along with Royal and Imperial gears.

Mainchat Permabans 

In light of recent events we're reminding everyone that this is a possibility. Continued Mainchat misuse will not only lead to possible temp bans but also a permanent bans from mainchat. A Mainchat ban leads to not being able to use or read mainchat on the offending account. If you are unsure of what is Mainchat appropriate please read the mainchat rules: http://www.anesisro.com/forums/index.php?topic=120755.0

Quick reminders:
-PVP/WOE is to be kept to the fighting grounds. Do not bring it to mainchat.
- Cursing or Racism of any type is not permitted
- Harassment of any kind is not permitted

Please report all main and trade chat rule breakers using support tickets. Keep in mind Mainchat and Tradechat is logged.

Faction War Event + New Hats

Hats of Summer!
Another week of hats, hope you're not bored of this yet! We still got quite a ways to go.
This week we're serving you flowers and chickens...
I know you're sick of chicken but let's hope this is the end of those pesky animals.

Faction War Event!
Ready your swords and take over Prontera! From now until September 4, 2013's maintenance, all mobs inside pax_dun01 and rek_dun01 will give 1 point per kill and the MVP will give 100 points per kill. This is a server wide team event only open to players who kill in the two dungeons. The top 5 players in the winning faction will obtain an exclusive reward. The winning faction's dungeon will get an exp and item drop boost along with a pet egg drops from September 4th until October 2nd.  You can use the Pax Entrance NPC or Rek Entrance NPC located in Prontera in order to access these dungeons. Your faction must have control of Prontera and you cannot enter the dungeon while War of Prontera is active. When the winning faction is decided, the Faction Resetter NPC will be disabled so the losing side cannot switch sides while the reward is active. I will post the total score in each announcement from now on. There will NOT be a player leaderboard made.

Misc Changes

• Players will be warped out of Faction Dungeons whenever a Prontera War starts.
• The warp from inside Prontera castle to Prontera will now send the players near the fountain.
• Rekenber gears has been name changed from Royal to Corporate.
• Faction MVP mob names were fixed.
• The HP, Stalker, and LK faction guardians were removed from the right/left side of Prontera.
• Guardians were placed on the boats inside Direct Assault.
• Leak can now use Magic Mirror.
• Leak now has an MVP Leaderboard.
• Pizza Hat weight and description has been fixed.
• Battlefield Textbook now has the text "Impossible to refine this item."
• Farvir duplicate Warp Girl has been removed.
• Boitata exp has been increased.
• The warp portal going from Manuk and Splendide to their respective fields have been removed and replaced with Camp Guards.
• The Quest Checker NPC now has the following three quests: Pursuing Rayan Moore, Tripatriate Union's Feud Quest, New Surroundings Quest

Independence Day Event!

Find Ronnie in the Hugel Fireworks shop (hu_in01 28 249) and help him find true love this Independence Day. He might just give you a little something for your trouble~ This event will be disabled on Sunday.

Faction Changes

• A bug where two MVPs spawned in each faction dungeon was fixed.
• Assassin Cross and Stalker faction mobs will now show the MVP sign upon killing them.
• Cendrawasih and Hillslion food are now tradeable.
• The Pax ninja is now a mini boss. A gunslinger was added to the Rekenber dungeon and is also a mini boss. Mini bosses give 20 points a kill.
• A normal Paladin mob was added to the Pax dungeon.
• Most NPC_* skills were removed from faction mobs (this includes NPC_POWERUP).
• The VIT on most mobs has been reduced to 30.
• Faction mobs now match the element of their respective SQIs with the exception of Lord Knight and Paladin mobs. Both of these will be ghost.
• The following drops have been added to the faction mobs:

• Ninja: Mother's Nightmare
• Sniper: Rudra Bow

• Killing regular faction dungeon mobs will give bonus points to the losing faction if the gap is 1,000 points or more.

Misc Changes

• The 30% ad discount was removed.
• A typo in Vesper Optics' description was fixed.
• The NPC sprite for the Camp Guards in Manuk and Splendide has been changed.
• Biolabs 3 mini MVPs will no longer spawn in Biolabs 4.
• pax_dun01 and rek_dun01 now has music. Direct Assault's music has been changed.

Changes to Rules

Changes have been made to the rules here and they can also be seen here look at 1. C. Please ensure that you read and understand all changes.

1. c) Events

Do not interfere with any events the GMs are hosting or disrupt a Prontera War with malicious intent.

• We reserve the right to mute any character who interferes with any of the GM-hosted events or uses underhanded tactics to disrupt and give an unfair advantage/disadvantage to either faction during the Prontera Wars. This includes, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
• Using an unfactioned support class to continually give heals/buffs/etc. to players and/or NPCs involved in the Prontera Wars.
• Using an unfactioned character to plant traps for players and/or NPCs involved in the Prontera Wars to slow down/stop them from properly attacking/defending.
• Using a factioned character to lure NPCs of the opposite faction away from their goal and/or keeping them away so that the other faction cannot find it, thus being unable to kill it and properly end the war in their defense. Example:
  
  A Player supports Rekenber. The Player makes one of his/her characters join Pax Imperia so that during a war that Pax Imperia must defend their crystal during a Prontera War, the Player may lure one of the Rekenber NPCs away from the heat of battle, thus giving other Rekenber members/NPCs more time to destroy Pax Imperia's crystal.
• Using Land Protector during a Warp Roulette event to put a stop to the warps.
• If we notice any other disturbing interferences (that are not currently listed here), we reserve the right to mute any characters, accounts, etc. Continuous offenses will result in temp. bans, and, if it continues to occur, perma-bans.

Also, as a reminder:
In-game exploits will not be tolerated! it would be greatly appreciated, that if you are aware of someone exploiting a bug or mechanic of any kind, do not hesitate to bring this to our attention.

Exploiting bugs or mechanics that result in the gain of large quantities of zeny or items, or disrupting the server will result in a ban. Reporting a bug of this nature will result in a reward.

Faction Event Changes

• You must have 250 or more points on your character when the event ends to be able to enter faction dungeons when the drop rate and experience point bonus gets implemented.
• A new reward system will be used which will be announced in a future announcement for this event.
• An announcement will be made showing the total event score of both sides after each Faction War ends.
• The Lord Knight and Paladin mobs now have 30 VIT.
• The Ninja mini boss will no longer use Final Strike.
• Creator mobs will now use Mammonite instead of Demonstration.
• Sniper mobs will no longer use Teleport.
• Sniper mob skills has been given a greater skill delay time. Sniper mobs will also spawn less traps.
• High Priest Assumptio skill has been removed.
• Assassin Cross MVP now uses Enchant Deadly Poison.
• Lord Knight will no longer use Berserk

Misc Changes

• The warp from inside Prontera castle to Prontera will now send the players near the Warp Girl NPC area.
• The Rogue Guild map loot drop has been disabled. The Rogue Quest has been enabled.
• The Warp Clips have been put back to normal.
• You must unequip the following before being able to use the Stat/Skill Resetter NPC: Bestiary, Kafra Clip, Lab Access Card, Warp Clip Minor, Warp Clip Major, and Warp Clip Elite
• Lab Access Card will now ask you if you want to be teleported to Bio Laboratory F4.
• Bruce NPC from the Novice Grounds now say www.anesisro.com instead of www.animusro.com
• The Wolfchev NPC located inside the Instance will check to see which MVP was killed and force your quest to be complete if you were somehow off screen when the MVP died.
• The dead cell issue in LH4 has been refixed.

• The bonus point system has been removed.
• The fountain Kafra's save point has been moved away from the Faction War.
• Reminder: You need to have 250 points or more on your character in order to enter the dungeon after the event ends.
• The faction dungeon entrance NPC will now tell you if you passed the 250 point minimum when you enter the dungeon.

Scaraba Hole, Hazy Forest, Bifrost, Hats of Summer & Faction Event Results

El Dicastes & Scaraba Hole!

Head on over and talk to the Entrance Manager NPC (located in manuk,321,182) in order to enter Scaraba Hole and the new town El Dicastes!  You must have the item Ring of the Ancient Wise King and have completed the quests Sapha's Visit and Doha's Secret Orders in order to enter Scaraba Hole F2. If you can gain access, a new challenger awaits you! For a bigger challenge, enter the Nightmare mode - Scaraba Hole F3 and face the super buffed Golden Scarabas! 

Mora, Bifrost and Hazy Forest Maze!

You can access the Bifrost Field warp through the top right of Splendide. The Hazy Forest Maze has been changed into a regular dungeon instead of an instance. You can walk through this maze in order to reach the city of Mora. All Nydhogg's Memory located inside the Hazy Forest Maze have a low chance to drop Mysterious Seed, which can be used on the Mysterious Flower NPC to warp you from bif_fild01 to bif_fild02.

Congrats to Rekenber Corporation for beating Pax Imperia in this Summer's Faction War Event! From now until the October 2, 2013 maintenance, your dungeon will be greatly buffed.  Only characters with 100+ event points will be able to enter the Faction Dungeons.  Each side can now farm in its respective dungeon for a new pet. The mobs Paladin and Lord Knight both carry the new pets.  If you are one of the top 5 players of either faction, please submit a support ticket with the subject "2013 Faction Event" along with your account information for details on how to obtain your reward.  Please submit 1 ticket per character.

Winning Faction Rewards

• The exp in the dungeon has been greatly increased.
• The drop rate of certain items has been doubled.
• The dungeon now drops the 500 point Direct Assault pet egg.

These will be the last hats for the Hats of Summer. I know it's been a bit rocky at times, however we got through it to the end.
I hope you've all enjoyed your summer!

• The jibberish for over 200 quest log entries has been fixed.
• Theore's Request level requirement was changed to 95.
• Helping Lope and Euridi level requirement was changed to 95.
• Find the Research Tools level requirement was changed to 95.
• Kalipo's quests level requirement was changed to 95.
• Direct Assault has been temporally disabled.
• Warp Girl and Kafra NPCs have been added to El Dicastes, Mora, and Dewata.
• Pax and Rek Commander MVP leaderboards have been added.
• The mailbox located in prontera,275,213 has been moved to prontera,268,195.
• Queen Scaraba and Gold Queen Scaraba MVP leaderboard has been added.
• The Faction Dungeon NPC will now display the number of points you obtained in the 2013 event.
• Chronos's description has been fixed.

2013 Loading Screen Contest!

AnesisRO 2013 Loading Screen Contest!

It's been almost a whole year since our reincarnation, so we are overdue for some fresh, new loading screens!
This contest is scheduled to end on October 16, 2013, giving you a little over one month to create your vision!
Seasonal and holiday themed entries will be especially appreciated, but you may use whatever theme you like.



Contest Rules

Entries must be at least 1024(width) x 768(height) pixels.  Larger is fine, but please note that cropping may occur. Please submit images in either .PNG or .JPG format.  .BMP files tend to get too large, and .GIF is not recommended. All loading screens must be marked with our server name, "AnesisRO," somewhere in the image. Entries must be work safe and must be related to RO.  All entries are subject to the AnesisRO Forum Posting Rules. If you use someone else's fan art in your entry, you absolutely MUST have permission to do so! Any entries created with stolen artwork will be disqualified.  We will carefully investigate any suspicious entries. If you are creating your own artwork, you may want to also include an incomplete copy of your loading screen. This will help avoid any confusion or misunderstandings, although we will still investigate any suspicious entries. You are welcome to enter as many loading screens as you like, but you can only place in the top 3 once! Top 3 prize contenders will be judged on originality, technical quality, and overall appeal.  Pace yourself!

GM Haine's 5th Year Event

In celebration of her fifth year as a staff member, we've put together a little GM Haine themed mini event!

GM Haine was minding her own business, secretly answering support tickets near Geffen Tower, when a flurry of little, leafy creatures pounced!  Five of the creatures have run off with her support tickets, but Haine's hands are already full enough as it is.  Approach her in Geffen City (128, 118) for details to help her track down all five of the mini mischief-makers!

This mini event will last one week, ending on October 2nd.
Skills have been disabled in Geffen for the duration of the event.
This does not apply to the Vending or Open Buying Store skills.

• Einbroch Arena PVP map cell issues have been fixed.
• A doctor, repairman, and mailbox have been added to Dewata.

Spare Card & Blank Card Exchange

The Kafra Corporation is sponsoring a brand new card exchange program! You can find the Kafra Blank Card Exchanger associate behind her desk at 147, 244 in the Kafra Headquarters located in the northwest corner of Aldebaran.  To collect blank cards, you will first need the Spare Card lower headgear (currently only available in the Item Shop). Cake and In-Game Freebies!

A strange girl named Annie has wandered into town to celebrate our anniversary with us.  Find her near the Doctor in Prontera if you'd like to buy some of her special Anniversary Cakes.  If you don't have enough money to buy them from her, you can get some for free by playing Beach Volleyball.  Draco and Drago will also be giving away free cake to players who win their events and will host their events more frequently than usual! Our AnesisRO Reward Pouring has been updated, but it'll only stick around until the party ends!  Players who have already received rewards from it once may talk to it again (while wearing a Guardian Angel [1] or Demonic Whisper [1]) to receive a new set of of bonus items. The Job Agency near Payon Dungeon is in desperate need of extra help during the festivities and is offering increased chances at bonus EXP for completing jobs!

Unfortunately, there won't be any Halloween festivities this year as there's been a strange influx of demons and undead monsters...

Actually, there ARE Halloween festivities this year—talk to Jake in Umbala (97, 149) to investigate the disturbance that's been bothering him.  Every invading monster you defeat will net you event points, and monsters from deeper and deeper within the event maps are worth more and more points.  Jake will manage your points and can exchange them for special event rewards.  Complete the event quest for a huge point bonus!

Trick-or-Treating, Mysterious Pumpkins, Old Cobby's Spirit and the Pumpkin Harvest minigame are back, and the traveling cook Casper is ready to make some more pumpkin pie!  The Pumpkin Festival Rewards NPC has also returned as an alternative means to get one of the two new Halloween items this year.

Read last year's thread for information about these side events and refer to the follow-up announcement for a list of changes we've kept for this year.

Skoll's Challenge:
At the end of the Halloween event, the top 5 players on the Pumpkin Harvest leaderboard will receive a Tricky Witch's Pumpkin Hat.

The festivities will end on November 18.  Have fun!

Misc. Changes

• Fresh Grass, Yellow Vital Flower, and Blue Vital Flower have been added to the Pet Food NPCs in Prontera, Alberta, Payon, and Yuno.
• Incubus pet will now eat Yellow Vital Flower.
• Succubus pet will now eat Blue Vital Flower.
• The top Faction event prizes have been delivered.
• The 100 faction event point requirement to enter the Faction dungeons was removed.
• Direct Assault has been added back in.
• The Faction Informant NPC has been added back in.
• Freezing Bow typo was fixed.
• Isilla Card description was fixed.
• Lope's Clue can now be sold sold to NPCs.
• Pineapple and Melon have been added to the respective monsters.
• The quest log entries for the old man Dewata quest have been added in.
• The missing Fish Tail spot from Document Quests has been added in.
• One of Theore's Request quest levels was dropped to 95.
• One of the Department Quest's levels was dropped to 95.
• Mora Daily Quest doesn't need Wandering Guardian Quest as a pre-req and the level was dropped to 95.
• You can now see your own points in the Job Agency Leaderboard.

AnesisRO 2013 Facebook Design Contest!

Time for another contest—here's your second chance to redesign our Facebook page!
Entries will be due on December 04, 2013, so it might help to start planning ahead.



Contest Rules

Profile pictures must be at least 180 x 180 pixels. Cover photos must be at least 851(width) x 315(height) pixels. The server name, "AnesisRO," must be included in the design. Entries must be work safe and related to Ragnarok Online. You may use official Ragnarok Online images in your entry. Entries using fan art MUST have permission from the original artist(s). You may submit as many entries as you like, but you can only win once!

All entries are subject to the AnesisRO Forum Posting Rules.
