Question about Double attacks

Do they count as 2 basic attacks? or do they count as 1 attack with extra damage

The reason I'm asking is because I was curious if double/triple attacks would increase the proc rate of auto steal

Double attacks don't make you attempt twice.

If i remember correctly, you can't auto steal on a triple attack at all (as in, it actually hinders you).
