Well they actually did fix a part of it.
Around 4 or 5 days ago, you could view someones profile if you logged out and looked as a guest. This has been fixed. This leads me to believe that the Admins here will not let you view peoples profiles at ALL.  :(

Actually some of us have it so we don't show up at all on the Who's Online list. Myself included... And I for one, like the fact that people can't freely view my profile, at least when they're logged in. Kind of creepy to think that someone out there wants to peek at my profile, who knows, they might be staring and analyzing my name, scrutinizing my posts ... /fsh !

Hopefully Talis will come up with a forum hack to enable it so that whomever wishes, can have their profile private all together! /heh

Concurring with Emiras.
If it was a disable/enable option, it would make guild-recruiting background checks slightly easier.
Then again, I guess important things will already be known, and there's the Search option...
