I hope the tiny window gets fixed next time a full anesis setup is uploaded. too many people are asking about it.

usually just the patcher or game exe will get quarantined if anything.

it feels like everyone and their mother has been having graphic settings problems that require changing settings in opensetup. ;-;
providing an installer that is issue-free for 99% of users (outside of user error) should be a huge priority. ain't nobody got time for games that don't download/install/run correctly. :\

Since it seems that it is a registry issue, the person in charge of creating the installer should just include a registry installation at the end of the part 3 of the setup file to perhaps 1280x720 resolution. Or perhaps a pop-up window saying what to do if the game has a small window.

indeed. for the cases where game files get deleted or moved to quarantine, players will just have to add exceptions for anesis stuff. i can't imagine much of whoever-on-the-staff's time being spent on making the client and patcher friendly to every AV out there.

but kirby might be on to something for the resolution/registry issue.

Hi, i am a former player wanting to return back to this server, but I am having a hard time downloading the game. I downloaded the Small patcher and it worked, but the full patcher is whats getting to me. I am only able to download part 1, as part 2 and 3 i dont know why are being downloaded in my VLC. And when I try and download part one, like right before the green bar starts loading or downloading a screen pops up saying "Please insert Disk 1 and click OK" then below it says "If the files on this disk can be found in a folder other than the one displayed below, enter the correct path or click Browse" its on C:\Users\owner\Downloads and when i press okay it says "The file 'anesis_full20131016-1.bin' could not be located in C:\ blah blah blah Please insert the correct disk or select another folder" So, yeah... i am stuck on that part. I have a Toshiba Windows 7, just f.y.i. PLEASE HELP. I miss this server

I've seen you in-game so it would appear you got this issue sorted out. I'm not entirely sure what VLC is... a media player as well as a download manager? I'm not sure what kind of settings would cause .bin files to be associated with a media player but stranger things have happened.

As a general word of advice to anyone who checks this thread, if you see that "Please insert Disk 1" message when you run part 1 (the exe), it means the installer can't get stuff from parts 2 and 3 (the .bin files) for some reason. Usually that's because parts 2 and/or 3 got corrupted during the download so one or both may need to be downloaded again.

CDs are sometimes ripped as a .bin file with an associated .cue metadata file. It's not uncommon to rip audio CDs this way, so installing VLC will set it as the default program for opening .bin files. It shouldn't cause an issue as you only need to run the .exe.

Hi, alright i am still having problems. So i just bought an ASUS laptop. Tried downloading this game. Downloaded the files part 1-3 put it on C:Games/Anesisro. Then i downloaded the small installer or "Conversion Installer" After that, i patched the Patch_kro and Patch_Reknewal then clicked close and then I thought i was home scott free, but when i ran the patcher... I still got sprite errors. idk if i need the "Gravity" folder or anything because i noticed when i downloaded it, it didnt come with it. idk if that folder is significant or insignificant, but I really need help. Please MSG A.S.A.P

oh gods i had forgotten about this sticky and it's horribly out of date... 
you do not need a Gravity folder. if you are doing a fresh install, it goes in C:\Games\AnesisRO by default, and that is supposed to work on any OS (or at least any Windows OS, as far as I can say from experience).
try downloading abdatagrf (one of the extra things on the Downloads page) and extracting it to the AnesisRO folder. i always tell people to try that when they have errors after patching. it is like a manual patch and it is usually up to date or pretty close. you should patch again afterwards just in case.

Edit: first post is basically up to date now, but i might add to the common issues FAQ later.

Uh... So what i did was i downloaded that file and I "Extracted All" into the C:Games/Anesisro file and then it still doesnt work
