Range attacks like with a bow? If so, then yes. They work with any DPS.

It works with bow & gun attacks but if the range is too great some skills won't activate. It's believe it's limited to the normal range of the skill.

Also, if I recall correctly, RoR only activates when you're hit although it boosts the proc rate of RoFL

Didn't think about that. But yeah it's probably the equipping part that is going to be the problem and not the gun itself.
