Loss of experience.
« on: April 29, 2012, 04:31:21 pm »
Okay this has happened to me on many occasions but it's just this one time that really aggravated me. I have a level 96 champion that i'm usually pretty good about dying (Because i HATE losing experience at high levels...) and my friend got on it (Whom i know irl) and when i logged back in apparently he had lost 10% experience!!! I was outraged it takes me multiple MVPs to earn that experience!! As probably plenty of you know i'm not really a pro and i don't really have good gear so leveling is hard enough and staying alive i have to try my hardest but when this happens it's crazy! The system is corrupt! If you take the experience loss as sort of a tax to pay for you dying then you will see this. The stronger the player the better the gear. The better the gear the lower the damage and the higher the high points. The higher all of that the lower chance of dying. The lower chance of dying the lower percentage lost. So this is basically meaning the more money and gear you have the less taxes you would pay! This is a political disaster! The poor people with crappy gear just trying to level up are dying constantly and losing experience because of this malicious system! I know everyone at one point has said to themselves "I don't wanna die and lose experience" because it's so annoying especially on a trans character in the 90s. Please cast your vote and tell me your opinion. In my opinion I hate this obviously! I sent in a support ticket about this and the replies i received where "It's just part of the system" that's like the president of the united states saying we need a sacrafice to the flying spaghetti monster everyday and when someone complains he replies "It's just how things work" we are basically going back to the Greek and Roman times where they take sacrifices! We can stop this!

TL;DR= I hate exp loss allot. cast your vote.

This is why gravity made an item for sell that keep you from losing experience when you die for a period of time.

It's your fault in the first place for letting your friend on it.

And please explain how losing 1% experience every time you die in a game is like a "part of the system" for the president to demand sacrifices to the spaghetti monster? That's a terrible analogy.

You can't try to remove the experience penalty, it won't happen. And it shouldn't. It gives players an incentive to try harder to stay alive. Having an item that gives a temporary relief for losing experience is fine, but nothing more than temporary should be considered.

Regardless, I mostly emphasize my first point: That's what you get for letting other people on your account.

The case is just... so sad, there should be a penalty for dying, and it's loosing 1% of the EXP. In some OFFICIAL servers it's 3% even 5% if you didn't know. And in some servers you loose your gears (that ancient Nightmare PVP mode).

The penalty is there so you're careful next time, being careless isn't good for you.

You live by the gun, you die by the gun. Those who oppose this law are judged by it... and the only sentence is death.

Soon you'll find that the only thing that survives is respect."

I'm going to have to agree with Auurium. The penalty for dying is 1% EXP loss. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Plus, it's your fault for allowing your friend to access your account in which your character died 10 times. The onus is on you.

Death is inevitable!

Why not consider a leech if you are worried about experience?  Besides, for trans the job levels are much more frustrating to lose experience on--not so much the base.  May I also recommend partying with people who are adept at killing many things?  I know it's hard to get a good party going nowadays, but it can be worth your time to seek people out.

And in some servers you loose your gears (that ancient Nightmare PVP mode).

I remember that we used to drop random items sometimes when we died... but that was very long ago.  They were trivial things like potions, conc. pots, etc.
