Map Wide Bot Checks?
« on: January 10, 2012, 09:36:04 pm »
Basically Bot checking any characters in the map.
Possible? Can't seem to ScreenShot anything I suspect of botting. For example; in Moscovia Dungeon, there has been some Rouge killing Mavkas, but once I appear on there screen, they tele. Snapping into there screen, they tele like automatically. Even leaving there loots behind.
Possible? Toy Factory2, Moscovia Dungeon. Bibilan Maps? Underwater Sea Tunnels.

i would /support this if it's possible...
in the meantime... try cloaking/stalking the rogue and see if they still teleport?

/support x100%

If you are quick enough, right click the glow and you will get the name (I tried that on couple on players in TF which turned out to be normal people who teleports around for mobs~ /heh ). Then submit the report in ticket instead of forum so that they won't know that they get reported.

Or perhaps, if this happens allow /whomap or something similar to this, when in hot spots only, such as mosc or whatever.

Just submit a ticket with a bot report ("blabla I suspect a few players botting on certain maps: ... Please check them."). We have access to commands to check who is on which maps, so it's not that hard to go through all of them.

Please use the ticket system when reporting bots, otherwise they might be warned when they read the forums! Or try to use the @request command when a GM is online.

So, if i report a " rogue " for potentially botting, and you don't read the ticket for like 2 days, can you still check back to when I sent the ticket as to who was on the map if i provide a timestamp SS of when i saw them even if they are not in said SS?

No, we can't do that, unfortunately. That's why it might be better to catch a High GM that is online to do the bot check. And no, before anyone asks, the @whomap command will not be given to players.

But chances are that the botter will frequent the map with his bot, so there might be another time when the bot is online on that map. So it can always be checked from time to time. In that case, it might be helpful to have a screenshot of the possible bot, even if it does not show the name of the character.

Whuuuut? I never even knew about this command...
On the side note, Daily Bot checks on maps?... At RANDOM times... Maps that most people don't even go to can even be botted in. Like those 4 people who got reported who were plant cultivating in one of the buildings in the holiday event... There's always sneaky people, and they should be stopped!
