Unless you get paid if you finish the entire run, I don't think it's valid. I mean, why pay then fail?

We do this practically every week. Usually we have one or 2 people who can't make it and need to be replaced, and trust me, even with a maxed party we barely make it at times. So it would be ridiculously hard to bring a straggler along. Plus all the damn money in supplies and depending on how much money being shelled for the rest of the 11 people.
