I forgot the exact description but it's something like this

Gives more Magic damage on MVPs, but you will receive more magical damage on normal monsters? Can anyone help?

I was gonna guess Vesper but that's the wrong one xD
Every time you do a Magical attack, it ignores 30% of Boss-type monster's MDEF, and does damage accordingly.

Alice reduces dmg from mvps but increases dmg from normal monsters. Might be what ur thinking if ur not thinking of vesper.

It does sound like that. My description was a little bit of wishful thinking
