Elder drop rates

I was hunting Elders in Thanatos earlier, looking for encyclopedia actually. Just wanna make sure, do they drop them because I've only got Books[3] so far and looking at RMS, they don't even drop Books[3]. Does this replace encyclopedia or just an addition?

Yes they do drop Encyclopedia.
